IQ is not an accurate measurement of intelligence, which in and of itself is a completely subjective term; people can have fantastic physiques and still be out of shape, just look at body builders, while bigger, less defined people can be more fit; and semen is only half the equation, so it does not "define" so much as inform what a child while be.
IQ is an unprecise measure of intellect, and an awful predictor of individual success, but it does have uses in measuring how good someone is at particular skills it entails, and average nation IQ serves as a decent predictor of future economic development. I can link a whole book on this topic if anyone's interested.
@vitklim I saw an awesome quote a few weeks ago..... was in a magazine and it was quoting Einstein... I think? Asimov? Idk... I know it wasn't Binet. Anyway... the quote was something like...
I'm sure I'm smarter than my mechanic, but if he designed an IQ test for me based off how he would measure intelligence, I'd surely fail.
There's one my friend likes to say, which I'm sure she cribbed from somebody else: you can't judge a fish by how well it can climb a tree. Everybody has different strengths and weaknesses.
