Well to be fair he said it was untouched not melted.
I think he might of meant how come it was never knocked over or covered in soot it is still shiny as if it was being protected.
And is that candles that are not melted??? Or are they fake candles? You know lights that look like candles.
Wood fuel can’t melt wax beams!!!!
<just in case anyone takes this seriously- I’m poking fun at the “jet fuel can’t melt steel beams” conspiracy theories of the World Trade Center attacks.>
But seriously- those two in the original post need to knock it off. If we say God is real then God makes physics and everything and it’s all part of a plan and thus regardless of the temperature we could say it was the work of god to have the cross made in a metal that wouldn’t melt. If we take a scientific view nothing will be proof of god short of a direct demonstration and dialog which can be placed in a series of controlled condition experiments that are reproducible- and even that wouldn’t be conclusive. Science can’t prove or disprove God. The existence of God doesn’t threaten science because science is the study of the natural world which in a world with God is just the “rules” to the “machine” of our reality.
I personally always agreed science and religion could go hand in hand. Nothing can truly dissprov God unless we get a time machine and find the first guy to ever mention him and he says yeah made the God up. Lol
I always seen God as the thing that makes things do the things they do. Like why they atoms feel the need to come together to make stuff or why things that seem like they will never happen or things seem like they will fail end up not failing and end up positive. Yeah bad things happen to good innocent people and good things happen to bad evil people but some things need to happen for us as humans to make changes. If only good things happen why even live. It be like playing a new game and all you do is stand there and it says you win and game is over. It isn't fun and no one would play. A hard game makes each small victory feel like you need to celebrate and when you beat a boss or lvl up or get the legendary weapon that is like throw a party moment.
He burned one to make us aware that even in the worst of moments in our life there will always be a little spot where all the bad things can never touch. The alter is the most important thing in the church the roof just part of it's outer shell.
Like the body is just the outer shell and the soul is on the inside. The outer shell may be broken burned or even gone but the soul will always be there.
Lol. Good one. Countless people dying off hunger and disease around the world, and god decides now is the best time to show his presence because he didn't want the bling to get ruined :)
Yes. PURE gold has such a high melting point. Not gold alloy, and we do not know the alloy or other important details of construction. More over, the “average house fire” is a bit of BS. House fires can reach temperatures of around 1800 degrees and rarely higher. A combination of factors including ventilation and available materials can change the temperature in the building- like an oven it isn’t just the flames themselves that contribute to heat. Also like an oven, how long the fire is burning can contribute as well. The “average” house fire lasts maybe 28 minutes. So there IS a scientific explanation both to why gold might not melt in the fire and why gold COULD melt in a fire. However- it’s somewhat moot considering one will either see everyday things as the work of a god or spirits or whatever- or as simple random chance or acts of causality or mathematical events.
