My dad caught fire once by accident and my reaction wasn't to wave my hands frantically, it was to beat the fire until it went out. Ended up with a rather unpleasant burn on my hand, but got the fire out

@iccarus I think she was just having a moment of panic, especially since it was her eyelashes that caught fire from the looks of it. Tbh I'd be a little uncertain how to fix that without burning her eyeball if there was no water immediately on hand
Once my mom caught on fire when I was 8, I screamed like hell while she simply slipped out of her robe and put out the flames like nothing big was happening, and told me "shhh, eat your breakfast". It was 7 am and she was so fucking exhausted.
During power outages we used to use candles to see at night... one day I put it on my glass table and the wax dripped on to it... I tried scraping it off with my nails and when that didn't help my brain derped out and i tried scraping it off with my teeth instead... my bangs caught fire and while my sister panicked I just rubbed my hair with my hands asking "is it off yet"
I think I was too exhausted from exams to really process I'd just been on fire... my sister still laughs hysterically when telling this story
It's funny to think about in the future at least.
