When I was in school the rule was that you could bring bags to school, but not to class. And it was because bags would go on the floor and create tripping hazards.
Dang ya'll are unlucky. After 3rd grade they let us put our bags wherever. Anyway, banning bags isn't going to stop drug deals anyway. Hide a stash in yo' boxers, and just conduct deals in the bathroom or athletic locker rooms. 30 dub sacks of cannabis a day, which isn't hard, back when 1g = $20, you could easily make $250 a day, much more if you bought QP's weekly or especially an LB monthly, as bulk cost is cheaper.
Then there was the CD/movie hustle back in my middle school days.
In high school they didn't care, but in Middle school we weren't allowed to bring bags to class. We also had long enough passing times we could get to our lockers between classes.
Lucky.... we had 5 minutes, and I tended to have to go back and forth from one end of the school to the other for my first 3 years. I eventually stopped bringing anything besides folder with some paper and my assignments, a few pencils, and my calculator. I put my books in my locker and didn't touch them until the end of the school year. It didn't help that my locker was nowhere near any of my classes. Heck, 7-8 minutes would have been all I would have needed, except for the first year when I had to go from basketball practice to the shower to class all in 10 minutes, as we had basketball practice before classes that year.
