Okay to further explain this, the "normal" VAT of 19% is for luxury items, while the reduced one applies to necessities. And there's a few things wrong with that. Because apparently, horses and books are necessities and tampons etc. are clearly an unnecessary luxury that women enjoy.
And it's not as the title implies, that all our tampons are being sold as books now, but it's rather this one company that tries to raise awareness by this.
"luxury" items are also toothbrushes, baby food and medicine. 7% are normaly for staple foods like flour, pasta and milk. But there are also some funny lets call it exceptions like treats for dogs are taxed with 7% but cookies with 19%.
the 19% is the normal tax rate. The luxury tax would be the good old "schaumweinsteuer" introduced 1902 (and still kicking) to support the imperial german navy

1) It could interfere with an IUD, aka accidentally pulling the string.
2) The removal can get messy (blood everywhere) or embarassing (having to wash them in a public restroom)
3) If you have a tilted uterus or low cervix, it may be impossible to find the perfect fit, which would cause leaking.

These are things I was not completely aware of.
My wife is a big fan of the cup because she's already saved money using it instead of tampons
Dark times my dear. After ten years of relationship and seven years of marriage, she very surprisingly left me for a coworker. A guy who looks like the word Lacrosse sounds. This wasn't even an option in my thoughts. I was sure we'd be better than that and we'd make it through life's hickups together. Boy, how wrong I was. I just finalised moving into my new appartment last week.

Ich weiß meins sind peanuts dagegen, aber ich hab mich im Januar auch nach 3½ Jahren von meinem Freund getrennt, weil er mir anderthalb davon mit einer fremd gegangen ist. Und diese ganze Wut sitzt immer noch sehr tief, auch wenn ich jetzt gar keinen Grund mehr dazu habe. Das hast du echt nicht verdient, von allem was ich von dir hier mitbekommen habe, bist du so ein lieber, lustiger und einfühlsamer Mensch. Ich hoffe du erholst dich so schnell wie möglich und kannst bald alles genießen, was in einer Beziehung nicht geht. <3
Sorry ich wollte meine Nase da jetzt auch nicht zu tief reinstecken, hoffe ich bin dir nicht zu nahe getreten.

Ich habe jetzt auf jeden Fall meine neue Wohnung fertig und versuche mich eben so gut abzulenken, wie es geht. Damit lassen sich Wut und Trauer und die Angst vorm Alleinsein dann doch einigermaßen bekämpfen.
