I don’t know if we have a word for leaving early but if you black out drunk we put you in a recovery position and move you away from ceiling fans cause otherwise when your soul leaves your body, it gets tangled on it and it’s impossible to undo the knots

In Germany we call that a "Polish goodbye"

Here in New York we call it an Irish goodbye

And in the Midwest we call it an "Irish Exit" or at least I do, now that I think of it

we also call it "to leave English-like"
