That’s why it’s called “closing” Say-ruh. Because the doors are closing- at 6. How long does it take you to close a door? Doesn’t take me 2 minutes. So if you show up at 6:02- doors gonna be closed. Don’t gotta be a door physicist to know that.

The store I work at closes at 8. We no longer let customers in starting 7:55, because we always have like 2-3 people already still in the store by then, and that's gonna take the next 5-8 minutes to get them all at the register, and ring them up. We do not let people in, past 7:55, and they think that arguing 'the store closes at 8, not 7:55' actually will help. Sorry, Karen, but you gotta get your snackcakes and soda somewhere else. Preferably the dollar store right next door, that's still open.

I feel like people forget that closing (depending on where you work) can take about an hour, so the more time you hang around the store the longer the employees have to be there after closing. The longer they are away from their families and homes, cause you know, they're human too hence why a "closing time" exists.

Yes. If im out with friends for dinner we usually stay until close talking and always, they don't notice they are closing, but I do and I start to get anxious trying to make us leave so employees can go home!

That's what a scheduled is for. However, I went to a petco once with a bleading ferret and just wanted to see if they had or suggest any product to stop the bleeding. I understand it was 5 mins before closing but they were very rude just dismissing us. At least tell me to go to a pharmacy for bandaids idk. At that moment I had no idea what to do.

Most businesses refuse to pay overtime for sales staff, so unless you are willing to pay their wages as well as purchase your $3.27 worth of crap, just bugger off if they're closed.

Pfft, I wish it were just some people with like $3 of stuff. Usually, for me, its like 3-4 people, and at least 2 are buying cartloads of stuff.
