What is it with people not adapting redheads?

First of all, quick reminder that Michelle in the MCU movies is *not* Mary Jane Watson. She is very specifically not Mary Jane for a reason. Her being called MJ is only a wink and a nod to the comics. Second of all, in the novels for the Witcher, Triss was, in fact, not a redhead at all. That was an invention of the games, and the TV show has gone out of their way to make sure people know they are adapting the novels, not the games. And as for Ariel... okay, yeah that one is total bullcrap, but it's not gonna change, so we just have to deal with it.

It's actually seeming to be something of a trend for some reason. Hawkgirl, Annie, Josie, and several other redheads (can't remember them all ATM - you have Google, feel free to use it) have been given the boot. Though admittedly Josie and the Pussycats also tossed a blonde character, and Riverdale is just a hot mess all around
