Nope, that's why I said it includes Nordsee :D
Also I never said you were wrong, it's something you can't tell from the word alone without article if you're not a native speaker, that's why I wanted to inform y'all :)
Oh erm... Hoi? :D
Motorfiezverhur?
Sorry, but I always loved the word verhuren in dutch because huren means to whore around or simply whores in german. And I once passed a billboard in the Netherlands that just said HUREN? in big bold letters and I nearly pissed myself.
Really? I didn't know that, but I also haven't spoken much German in about 12 year.
I suspect the billboard also had a picture of a car or something else rentable. That would be one of those direct commercials, where a single word would be enough to get your attention. And its memorable enough, since you're still thinking about it.
I recently passed a sign that said "HEY HONEY, you watched". This was to sell a spot for the billboard company and the capital letter were bold and centre, the small letters tiny beneath. To demonstrate how visable it is and grabs your attention.
Also, wouldn't motorfiezverhur mean something like bikerwhore?
Hell yeah it stuck in my mind, but I don't know anymore what it was for :D
Nah, motorfiezverhur doesn't really have a meaning in german, it just sounds funny to us (like most of your words do, honestly <3)

By the way, are you German?
As german as it gets.

Can't wait to pack my things, but I have to stay patient until August 7th..
