It's about damn time. Killer whales especially are insanely intelligent... I mean intelligent to the point that all the recent data and research suggests their intelligence may be comparable greater than tool-using apes and just a step below human beings. So the idea that we hold them in captivity and force them to do tricks for their food is several levels of mucked up.
Now if you could only elaborate said proposition in favor of : no killing either.. yeah, that would be great... but seriously do you really need a law to know that this is wrong? Are you that daft?
Look mate, it's all on the level with conservation and whatnot. It's easier to kill them when they're small and their fur is valuable at that age.
Also, it's not messy if you do it like you're supposed to.
ive seen what happens trust me its not done right!!! besides whats wrong with a bullet to the head?? quick and painless yet apparently clubbing them to death is more fun.
Like most conservation efforts, there are more effective and humane ways. That dont torture animals and have them die a horrible death. It's just sport for vicious creeps pretending to be human, and getting away with it because it's "legal"
Also, it's not messy if you do it like you're supposed to.
And it doesn't take that much force. Their heads are small.
