Why would that be stupid, exactly? Uninformed, maybe, but that's the entire point of asking questions isn't it? They're doing their best to make sure that SHE'LL be okay dealing with an issue they themselves don't usually have to prepare for.

I know right I thought it was so sweet that they want to make sure she has enough

Indeed. I'd rather deal with someone asking me "will 100 be enough?" Than someone saying assuming you only need 7 or something and then you end up not having enough

Plus you'd have to keep your legs crossed really tight or you'd ruin the instruments

Well if you ran out, and, sorry it happens, but you had a heavy flow, in zero gravity...

I mean you're not going to be floating about naked (I assume). Chances are her clothes would just get extremely uncomfortable. Or maybe she'd break down and use toilet paper

It's okay, girls don't know how many Monster Energy drinks guys need for an average week either.

It's better to be over than under. You know, maybe jam five or six up there so eventually the pressure shoots them out and you go bouncing around the cockpit

not really a stupid question. im almost 50 and can't tell you to save my life how many times a day a woman has to change it and dose it get changed in the middle of the night. but 14 a day doesn't sound excessive. more important thing is that every ounce burns a shit load of fuel may be the question is will she be needing tampons and how many will she need.

Okay I am going to add one quick point, it says on the box the amount of time before it becomes dangerous per use of one, no longer than 8hrs. Assuming they work at nasa they should be able to do, 7daysx24hrs=168hrs 168/8=21 if you want to be really safe and they know nothing double amount 42 for over preparedness. I mean if your putting it on a massive rocket you should look at the box. I mean almost funny they lack the concept and knowledge of the opposite sex is the joke and tiny bit of controversy how could they misunderstand so grandly, as others pointed at least they asked. YET THE REAL UNDERLYING PROBLEM I SEE HOW DID NO ONE READ THE BOX! ~channeling the box ghost~

Couldn't they have just rescheduled it for like not that week? Pretty sure her physician knew when.
