Just remember: companies aren't your friends. They don't give a shit about you or your issues.

I really get the point and agree with it, but I'd also like to point out that sometimes people notice they're wrong and change their opinions.

Also that most likely anyone that worked on marketing in 1036 is either dead or retired by 2019

Also the Nazi party weren’t “the Nazis” to the world in 1936. 1936 the summer Olympics were in Berlin. Athletes and spectators from all over the world were in Berlin. The Nazi’s had created a socialist republic and a new government, but had yet to reveal the depths of their ills even if many suspected they were no good. Their racial agenda was right out front- but not so different in practice at the time than many countries like America when it came to race. American Jessie Owens won 4 gold medals at the games. The olympics are supposed to be about world peace and unity- so like the China or US Vs Russia games- despite tensions and disagreements most of the world participated.

As a global company Coke participated and as is common for them they branded their product for the event with iconography of the games and or host nation in those locations. imho they should have known better regardless- but they weren’t quite as bad as companies like IBM or others who willingly and knowingly supplied the War machine and the systems or means for the Holocaust.

As a fun fact- because Coca-Cola in Germany was cut off from supplies and administration during the war- they resorted to gathering up what they could and brewing soda with whatever was available. Using the leftovers of fruit and the like proved popular- and that’s how Fanta came to be.
