It’s actually a common mix up. People believe Bowie had heterochromia but he actually had anisocoria. Bowie’s eyes were the same color- not 2 colors as people think. His left pupil was paralyzed though so his left eye is always dilated. This creates conditions and optical illusions that make the left eye tend to appear a different color- exacerbated by the natural light blue of his eyes. He got in a fight at 15 with a fried (they stayed friends and Bowie even thanked him-) and a punch scratched his eye and paralyzed the muscles to contract his pupil. If you go look at pictures of Bowie closely you will see his left eye is almost always more dilated than the right. Good catch- most people usually don’t notice.
