I love posts that shine a light on talented animators like this. Everyone likes to talk about voice actors and directors and "animation quality" but it's hard to hear about individual animators
Been a big fan of Kahl since I was old enough to understand these things
@kcat *Excited hand waggling* Well, well, how about we start by talking about a delightful man called Richard Williams and his work on The Thief and the Cobbler as well as Who Framed Roger Rabbit, because honestly? GOOD STUFF FAM! If we wasn't such a perfectionist we would have a full film, ANIMATED IN ONES! ONES?!?!?!
@calvinoot I met Thomas Estrada and had a whole convo with him for an entire hour about how much I love his work and all the little secret tid bits he hid in his animations. My friend and I almost made him cry. He said not a lot of people recognize him and he wished he had more fans like us
Bruh I did cry a bit when I walked away. Hes so nice
Oh my god that is AWESOME! Animators need way more recognition, they put so much personality and effort into their work. Bruh I'D cry just talking to him!
I miss hand drawn cartoons. I love the new cartoons as well don't get me wrong but the old cartoons just seemed more lively and more warm. It was true art.
