You’d think so- sadly what is more likely to happen is that if they manage to recover your car, on top of being possibly stripped out and anything else wrong, even if it was just some kids for a “joy ride” that you’ll probably need a new clutch and transmission, maybe tires and other driveline too.
I have a mazda6 as my daily, and an mx-5 as a weekend/nice weather car. Both are manual.
I would have traded in the 6 for a Kia Stinger without a second thought if the stinger was available with manual.

Manual is cool and all, but on the roads where I live it's just another reflex added. I don't trust the drivers around me. Get me on a nice back-road with some curves and gradient differentials? That's fun.
Well- I’m not sure it’s so much a matter of grammar “Nazism” and more a statement of fact. If you can ride a bicycle you are 99% of the way to being able to ride a motorcycle. Twist right for throttle, squeeze left for clutch, little differences but you can know how to ride a motorcycle but lack experience or skill in operation. If you can count and have at least one working arm and leg you can operate a manual transmission automobile- but I’ve seen plenty of folks- even those with years of experience driving only stick- who I’d say can’t drive a manual- at least not to a standard I’d let them drive my cars.
