This is FAKE. It was a satire piece done in late 2018 by a comedy news site called “8satire.” There is no credible source or earlier source myself or several fact checking sites can find to indicate otherwise.

As a fun fact though- there was a Detroit man a few months back who shot himself in the foot trying to kill a cockroach. It’s even more bizarre than you think though. The man is wheelchair bound and removed his shoe and threw it at the bug across the room. He had a gun in his shoe which went off on impact and shot in in the foot!

Lol. Nuance. I apologize. I merely meant to clarify to people asking that it’s a fictional story. Poor choice of words especially in this day where “fake” has taken on a weight in context to common usage. It is a fabrication is what I meant.
