I had a wild Jack rabbit as a "pet". I say "pet" because I didn't seek it out. I rescued it from my uncle's blood hound. The dog ate one of it's paws and was going to kill it but I saved him.
And I have had a gray german dwarf bunny. Who I got from a pet store my mom worked at.
Both were TOTALLY DIFFERENT.
The bunny was sweet affectionate and addicted to turnups.
The Jack rabbit was a scary fucker but still loving but only to me. I think because I nursed him and saved him.
We lived in the country so there was mice. He KILLED mice and ate them. So I used to buy it chunks of cheap steak and he loved it. It was so creepy. His favorite though was hunting his own kill.
He did eat veggies as well he loved parsley the most. But meat was his favorite by far.
TIM: Well, that's no ordinary rabbit!
ARTHUR: Ohh.
TIM: That's the most foul, cruel, and bad-tempered rodent you ever set eyes on!
ROBIN: You tit! I soiled my armor I was so scared!
TIM: Look, that rabbit's got a vicious streak a mile wide! It's a killer!
GALAHAD: Get stuffed!
TIM: He'll do you up a treat, mate.
GALAHAD: Oh, yeah?
ROBIN: You mangy Scots git!
TIM: I'm warning you!
ROBIN: What's he do, nibble your bum?
TIM: He's got huge, sharp-- eh-- he can leap about-- look at the bones!
ARTHUR: Go on, Bors. Chop his head off!
BORS: Right! Silly little bleeder. One rabbit stew comin' right up!
TIM: Look!
[squeak]
BORS: Aaaugh!
Lol we honestly thought of renaming him something from the Monty Python movie. But it was already 2 weeks of calling him Br'er short for Br'er Rabbit from that old Disney movie Song of the South and the ride Splash Mountain.
My Bunny was called Tibbar, Rabbit backwards lol my mom came up with it because when we first got him he kept scooting backwards all over the house lol.
