I was once given three replacement A's for donating blood while in college.
In other words my three lowest grades for brought up to Ace just for donating blood one time.
Because I can only have o- lol yeah but most hospitals stock up on it because of how useful it is.
But if I need to have a surgery I can go in and stock up on my own blood in advance.
A month before I gave birth to my daughter they had me come in once a week so they could take blood and have it on stand by if I need it. Lucky I did because I needed it. I had an emergency C-section which unlike regular C-sections which is left to right and only big enough to get the baby out and about 4 to 6 staples to close mine went belly button down and took 14 staples to close.
But good thing is if my husband or anyone in my family needs blood I can help.
I once failed a class because I didn't donate the required amount of canned goods. It was 10% of my grade and I also accidentally missed an exam. The fact I could pass a class where I had a 0 for an exam grade just by donating canned goods was something even my messed up ass found disturbingly unethical.
I had teachers like this, but I also had teachers who made Disney villains look like moderate well adjusted people. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. It also depends a lot on what and where you study. Things have changed a lot though and many of those teachers had a very different and much more formal college education than is common today. I mean, there are many reasons why degrees aren’t worth what they used to be, one of them is often that the standards of higher education have become far less... standard. Looking at a resume etc. you can’t really tell if this person before you went to a school with a military discipline for academics, or where a student who otherwise wouldn’t be deemed qualified to graduate got a pass because “being your dog to school day” or “come watch my play and get bumped a letter grade” etc edged them over as opposed to knowledge and course work.
I didn’t go to Class
After 10 karaokes,
I got a Pass
