You win some and you lose some. I found once a certain maturity set in that the intense and impractical feelings of a crush were often best left as such, and that my time was better spent cultivating meaningful connections with people who both could share goals and lifestyles as well as who also were open to explore that; as opposed to the thrills of pining or chasing.

My thanks to you both. I try, but it’s more a process than a state of being. We can all be hot messes sometimes, I can’t say I’ve ever known anyone who wasn’t on occasion no matter how together they were. If we choose to try our best and out in effort, even if we never get where we are going we will most likely end up at least a little better off than we started.
