That's what happens when you evict skilled farmers from their land and then expect the places to be magically filled by enthusiastic farmers who know about the trade. These things take time and learning, and to just remove a work force like that was a stupid mistake.
Whilst being generally ignored by the wider media. I’m pretty sure the Rwandan genocide was better publicized than this and the US did basically nothing to help that.
Becuase it wasn’t just the farmers. In 2010 a law passed that made it so whites couldn’t own the majority of a business, and looking at the numbers, the white population has been tanking since 1979. While the farmers thing is amusing due to the karma, you can’t really pass a law like that and not have the people doing the killing not also kill non farmers.
Not trying to defend laws which make it legal to kill anyone, Karma is a bitch and whites in South Africa had laws making it legal to kill or imprison anyone who was black for decades.
Revenge is no way to overcome such cruelty as Apartheid, but it unfortunately is deeply engraved in mankinds psyche.
To come back to my initial response, the Rwanda genocide still isn't comparable to what happened to whites in all over Africa.
Firstly, not every murder can achieve media coverage, as this would definetly blow the frame. Secondly, maybe your media are shit, as I was well informed about those circumstances over a period of at least 3 years. Thirdly, there is no "white genocide" taking place in South Africa, as there are no numbers, facts or statistics that would prove white folks would be more likely to be murdered than an average South African. The terminology "white genocide" in this relation was brought up by right-wing groups in South Africa and the US and is only being used as frequent talking point among white nationalists.
First, correct, not every murder can achieve media coverage--you were running a comparable to these murders of white farmers on a genocide scale so my premace stands. Second, while I personally was informed, there is a known disparity among news or media outlets to cover anything within the 24 hour news cycle for more than a few days at most. Third, white nationalists? Really? I get the feeling you're either very young or havent traveled much. In either case, you're open to your, clearly passionate, opinion but I would encourage you to do some more research, learn more about the world, and try to get out of your own box. Good on you to sticking to your guns though.
Two of my friends were raised in South Africa and emigrated to the UK, the stories that come out of that country are harrowing. I don't know if it's 'genocide' worthy, but there is definitely a racial hatred/divide gripping that country and everyone is killing everyone for the colour of their skin.
Whites are being targeted by blacks and blacks are being targeted by whites.
Just to put things right, I'm turning 40 next month and I have travelled a lot in Europe, Asia and Africa. One of my closest friends was born and raised in South Africa (J-Burg) and even if he's white and was raised in one of the most racist circumstances imaginable, he achieved to develop an open mind.
Not only that he has confirmed what I said in various discussions on this very topic, maybe you should read some articles on the so-called white genocide, starting with Wikipedia.
There are hundreds of publications, open letters and even books confirming that this terminology has been made up and is almost solely being used by above-mentioned persons and it's not based on my opinion, which indeed is very anti fascist, pro environment and overall dedicated to a world without hate.
Further to this, during my travels and research, my learning and living, I have come to conclude that racism is not only entirely worthless and not helping anyone in this world and that nationalism often is the foundation for racism.
I have met many people in many countries and I was privileged to learn that being proud on where you luckily were born is mostly to be found amongst people who barely have anything else to be proud of.
Please don't take these word as an attack, I don't know you, or even your opinion thoroughly and it is not in my sense to jumping to conclusions concerning you or your personality. I just see myself in a position where I want to defend what I said, after your first impression being so wrong.
