Ok, I correct myself: every kid that goes into treatment has been aware of it before, because why else wouzld the process start? No doctor would start such a treatment without that basic premise.

Also I know there are cases of trans persons who regret their decision to go thru the extremely difficult process, but that's usually because of the aggravating assholes "accompanying" that process.

as is said above, that never happens. Hormone blockers arent something you can walk into walmart and grab off the shelf. You have to get a prescription from a shrink. said shrink wont be giving out such like candy.

Kids are overprescribed shit as it is, and many have come forward talking about how hormone blockers fucked up their development and identity. 18 to own a gun, live independently, make medical decisions, join the military, and enter legally binding contracts; but we're letting 8 year olds who barely know what gender is get fucked up over a mental illness that affects MAYBE %0.001 of the population?

well just out of what you said, parents can transfer ownership of guns to their children, parents dont actually have the right to get between doctor patient privilege in a lot of cases shrinks being one, they can enter legally binding contracts all they want, thats a myth. The actual legal thing behind that is that when a child turns 18 they have the option to void contracts they signed as a minor, they dont have to and they were bound by it until that point.
the actual number of adult people that REPORT identifying as trangender in 2016 was about .6% however if we look ACTUAL mental disorders (which being transgender is not, it doesnt qualify as it doesnt inherently have any negative effects on an individual) such as bipolar disorder (about 1% of the population) OCD (about 2% of the population) and schizophrenia (about 1% of the population) it makes sense that you treat the thing you see after confirming that it is the thing you see.

Gender dysphoria is a mental disorder. Even if they had to have negative effects to be labeled as such, which they don't, it almost universally goes in hand with depression, suicide, self-harm, and a slew of other issues. For Christ's sake, it's "cure" is voluntary mutilation that more often then not doesn't help.

not all transgender people get gender dysphoria. You can have gender disphoria without being transgender.

the truth of the matter is that most transgender people dont fully transition. Most make it to E or T and dont go any further than that because they either dont want to, dont know if they want to, or the shrink doesnt think they are sure enough to let them do it.

That’s thing though, kids who transition do choose for themselves and they have to go through a long process questioning if they’re really comfortable with it. The process can take years. As a trans person I know, and god I wish I would have started hormone blockers as a kid but the process stopped me from doing that. Because it’s so secure. This is what bethorien has been saying all this time, dude. Also famous or is basing all of their arguments on misinformation that could come from foxnews and anecdotes, I don’t think we have to take them seriously anymore.
