They're probably on-call and have been for some time. They may need the space to leave the car-park in a rapid and orderly fashion in the event they get called upon why they're probably getting dinner. Mother and child bay's have plenty of room either side, space Infront and or behind them, and allow them to see pedestrians well before pulling out of the spot in a few seconds.
Paramedics and firefighters do it all the time, so why can't the police?
The thing I love about these? “I saw...” oh? You saw? Well- you took a picture of the car you saw, but... not the thing that makes that would make the first picture anything but officers responding to a call? And you saw? Do you even know what you saw? Do you know the officers you saw were the officers driving that car for a fact, and that they weren’t other officers, perhaps ones on the scene who requested the second and then weren’t needed? Or that there wasn’t some type of delay where the officers would need to wait- so they decided to get food while there?
We’ve all seen the picture of the prince flipping off the media- that is actually him NOT flipping them off but from the wrong angle. We’ve all had some moment where a person heard part of a conversation, or seen the meme where two people were talking about the sims but it sounds to an outsider like they are talking about crime or abuse. So... what did you see? How many convicted criminals were later exonerated by DNA or other positive evidence but convicted because of what one or even many people SAW? Even though a single photo isn’t very good proof of anything- there isn’t a photo of then officers getting food is there?
This reminds me of those yelp reviews- actually there was literally just a meme of one the other day- where a customer complains about horrid service and being left waiting on the phone, and then the owner comments that their server had an epileptic seizure. What you SAW and what happened aren’t always the same thing. We tend to see what we want to see.
