Yeah... someone didn’t read the safety handbook. Normally I say live and let live- but I do get upset because people who do stuff like this tend to become statistics that make it more expensive and less socially acceptable to ride for people who are responsible. In the end it’s your life sure- but when the 20yo girlfriend who’s paralyzed and had 90% of her skin looks like Freddy Krueger goes on a PSA what happens is all motorcyclists pay for it- and she pays worst of all. Do you, but if you ride please be smart. ATGATT- all the gear. All the time. 120f? Deal with it or don’t ride. A “quick trip down the block?” Crashing is the same down the block as it is on a 200 mike tour. Dress for the fall not the ride.

I ride a motorbike, today was 30 degrees Celcius, 86 Farenheit, wore my boots, kevlar jeans, heavy leather jacket and full faced helmet and gloves, stinking hot when stationary, but wouldn't wear shorts on the hottest days.

Yeah. It sucks because the “nicest” days to ride are nice.... until you stop! Traffic signals in the sun are the devil! But.... I’d agree with you. I’d rather deal with being hot for a little while than being in pain from losing skin to the bone for months or years, crippled/disfigured for life, or dead for.... well.... forever not counting reincarnation.
