He does have a point. Also, if the dead person had a round trip ticket does the airline give any amount of refund?

more to the point, why make an emergency landing at an airport where family/friends were NOT waiting at. If they continued, at least they could pass on the message as well as the body to the relatives.

I'm glad they stopped it, there could be kids on there, I know I also wouldn't be comfortable having to sit there with a dead guy on the same flight...

if it was your relative, and you're waiting at their destination, would you want them to continue and bring the body back to you, or would you prefer to hear "oh, we left them in Dallas, here's the address so you can go collect"?

It's not the responsibility of the flight to take care of them, or of the passengers to suck it up and stay on the plane with the body. I would rather go and get my relative than make someone go through that.

a lot of the times, they don't leave the body in the seat, they put it in the toilet and lock the door

so on an international flight, over the pacific, half way someone dies, you want them to be sitting there with the other passengers?

Dude the only thing I'm trying to say is that I'm glad that they stopped the plane so that people don't have to sit with a dead body for who knows how long of a flight. That's all. No need to keep trying to drive your point further.

What’s the big deal about being on a plane with a dead body? People have parties all the time where a dead body is the guest of honor. In fact you may have already been on a plane with a body down in the hold as registered cargo.

Some people are just not comfortable around them or used to that sort of thing. I certainly am not. I've only flown twice in my lifetime so I wouldn't know if there was.

so if given the choice, you'd put the comfort of others sitting next to a dead body, which they don't, you'd make the grieving family have to travel to another state to get the body back? very considerate of you.

Just shut the fuck up already man. I'm allowed to have a different opinion, you don't have to shame people just for disagreeing with you.

Well in his defense, it wouldn’t make any sense to shame people who do agree with him.

common courtesy amongst strangers is lost on most people. Instead of feeling sorry for the ones that lost a loved one, people are more concerned about their own comfort.
