Unfortunately, it would probably be picked up by one of those studios that makes movies/shows into games, that are rarely considered good quality. I wouldn’t be surprised if there is an Avatar game just like that already. Which studio do you think would do a good job with it, hypothetically?
Good question. Probably Nintendo. They've had their ups and downs, but most people agree that Breath of the Wild was good. And, I'm sure few would scoff at an Avatar game made in that style.
I’d even take a third-party Kickstarter project, with an offshoot from the main series, where you are either a new avatar, with a create-a-character feature. You can choose which bending skill to be proficient in from the get-go, and then enhance skills via points on a skill tree. It would be awesome to eventually unlock subsets of bending, such as lightning or blood-bending. I would go nuts for an Avatar game like that.
I remember a game based on this. It was on the GameCube or Wii, can't remember. Pretty sure it was GameCube.
It was my absolute favourite game, I wish I still had it.
It's not an open world MMO, more like a single player RPG. But still.

There was one on the Wii because it let you use the Wii Remotes and nunchuk do the hand motions. It wasn't too bad, but it definitely wasn't an open world game
I remember that when I played it we didn't have a save file, because we didn't have the space to make one.
So every playthrough was more-or-less played on Hardcore mode.
There's some game set in Legend of Korra? That might interest this person. It would be dope to verse others in bending battles...God I wish this existed.
