Scratching your name on a Rhinoceros

The visitors can come close to the enclosure and when Noëlle (the rhino) comes they can even pet her... or scratch their names on her apparently. Good news though, it's only scratched on a layer of dust ad dead skin, meaning she wasn't harmed.

Any word on the emaciation though?

Yeah. She looks pretty sickly.

My instincts suggest a malpractice and a lot of people on tripadvisor seem to agree. "The animals are apparently kept in tiny cages that look nothing like their natural environment, it stinks, water is dirty or smells like Javel, the animals are skinny, seem drugged or anxious and the zoo sells pop corn bags for visitors to feed the animals." This is depressing, I suggest we stay clear from the "zoo de la palmyre".
