What @mrscollector said, and also some of theae dishes are very flavourful - the more flavour the more satiated you feel.

Ok I said it countless times. "Fancy Restaurants" give small portions of all their food because you are supposed to order not just main course. You are supposed to buy an appetizer, a salad or soup, a main course, and a dessert. The 4 course meal is supposed to fill you up. If you go there expecting to eat like you do at a regular chain restaurant or mom and pop you will leave hungry.

thats what i get for not knowing about fancy restaurants. this is probably an appetizer of some sort going by what you're saying.

This might be a part of a large course meal some have like 6 or even more. This is obviously the sea food course.
