Ok unpopular opinion. Both jk Rowling and Martin are better writers than Tolkein. Sure tolkein can build a mythology better than most civilizations can. Not saying tolkein is bad, But as a writer he doesnt flow nearly as well as rowling or martin.
Hey, you leave Mr. Bombadil alone; that total weirdo was awesome :) Remember, he's the one who gifted the hobbits with the blade that unraveled the Witch King's immortality.
