See some people don't realize when you stay with a broken person it does put wear and tear on you as well. Yes it is some one you love and they are not at fault most the time for why they are broken. But you need to realize when it comes down to it you might find if you need help they don't know how to. If they don't know how to help themselves how can you expect them to know how to help you.
I won't go into great detail but my husband didn't not have a childhood like mine. Loving parents and surrounded by people who only wants what's best for you.
He doesn't talk to either his parents and suffers from alot of emotional trauma due to them.
When my Dad died my husband couldn't comfort me. He didn't know how. It was always me being there for him. I don't hold it against him. I know how hard it was for him to see me the strong one crumble in front of him and not be able to help.
That is the down side. And if you are not ready for it you can't be ready to help them.

But Star definitely did not say that.
