Yeah I used to do this with the pastries at my work at the end of the day but the homeless always didn’t want them, they told me I didn’t have anything they liked or they already had something sweet that day.... like wtf
On the one hand: beggars, choosers.
On the other hand: when you've had enough sweets, you've had enough. It's not like health or dental care are much of an option a lot of the time. And honestly too many sweet things make me feel sick. Can't say I wouldn't turn it down either if I genuinely didn't need it.

Thanks, I’m just frustrated with the homeless population that I’ve encountered. My family and I have offered sandwiches countless times and we’ve gotten, more than once, “no I don’t like mustard” or “no I don’t like tomato” and then they ask for money. It makes me want to try less to help them when they seem ungrateful and our efforts are thrown in our face. Perhaps the solution is more mental health services for them
