Regular meditation wasn't really doing anything for me so I randomly tried one talking about activating my merkabah and that worked for me. Focusing your thoughts to a singular point felt much easier than trying to empty my mind completely. Was kinda strange but I definitely noticed a difference. First one I ever did was on youtube titled: Guided Meditation To Help Activate Your Merkaba ~ by Wayne Cathcart.
I always like to focus on my heartbeat and slowly spread my awareness out through where I can feel it in my veins. I find it helps with breathing, gives you something to concentrate on if you have trouble keeping your mind clear, and it feels kind of primal
Interesting, mine would always feel like it started at the base of my neck and spread out to all my nerves until they would feel extremely 'energized' I guess and then I could acutely control the feeling.
I went on youtube and listened to several guided meditations until i found a voice that resonated with me. Start out with 15 or 20 minute ones so it doesnt seem so daunting. Ive also found no talking asmr extremely helpful in relaxing me and putting me to sleep. Good luck, its worth the effort.
