Lots of people come after Lizzo for her weight- but most of them couldn’t put on back to back physically demanding dance and stage shows night after night under stage lighting. Most “average” folks couldn’t do what she does on tour for a week even. “Excess weight” DOES carry HIGHER ODDS of increased serious health risks. You increase odds for diabetes, you increase odds for heart problems, etc. here’s the thing though- even if you’re “skinny,” being sedentary- spending a good deal of the day at a computer, register, tv, in a car etc? Carries most of the same serious and minor health risks as being overweight.
Yes. You can look at Lizzo and see that she probably has a higher chance of heart disease. That doesn’t mean she WILL get heart disease. But if you aren’t active through the day, if you maintain a healthy weight but you are mostly sedentary, if you drink, smoke/vape (including non tobacco products,) or have the diet of the “average American,” your risk for health problems is elevated too. She has a risk factor you do not- but you don’t know how she manages her other risk factors. We do know she is active and has decent physical fitness and flexibility. She does do dance- intensely. So before everyone piles on the hate train- maybe look at your life and ask if you aren’t in the same boat and need to make some changes before.
To the list- she is athletic enough I believe she could do ten push ups- that said women in general have more difficulty with push ups, and push ups are primarily an upper body strength exercise. She definitely has good core strength and stamina- she does concerts.
She obviously can be full. Likewise- I suspect she can do the pacer test- but if she can’t she has better odds than most folks in her age range. “Make good music” well- that’s just subjective isn’t it? Most people would say The greatest Norwegian Death Metal band of all time was “bad music.” A generation or two back you’d have trouble finding someone who would call a legendary hip hop music artist “good,” and many people say country is all “bad music” so subjective- but she can certainly make music that millions or more people feel is good.
Live past 40? She’s 31. I guess we will have to see. But her odds are good. On average obesity, where health problems occur, is estimated in Harvard studies to cut about 6 years off a persons life- so without drug use she’d only die from obesity related complications at her weight if she was only going to live to be about 45 if she were healthy. Since it isn’t 1604- I suspect her odds of living into her 60’s at least are pretty good.
See her toes? The ignorance continues. Let me help you out for those who have never spent a lot of time with a woman (the type of person who writes a list like this comes to mind) and for those not well acquainted with cleavage- if she had washboard abs she couldn’t see her does doofus. A 5’5” 100lb porn Star with DD’s or F’s likely can’t see theirs either and that definitely isn’t because they are fat. So regardless of her weight the boobs block line of sight. Even fit ass dudes with pecs can’t see their toes standing. She CAN see them in other poses though. So partial points on this one even if it is largely irrelevant.
Skip a meal? Showing more lack of understanding and experience for the world. She’s a celebrity, touring, putting on shows. She’s a busy career professional. I guarantee you she skips meals. I’ve never known a busy and successful person who didn’t have to sometimes go without for their career. Get up if she fall? What is she? A turtle? She’s a performer. You don’t think she ever falls, or that she always has assistance getting up? That one is false as well, and again- she is physically active and has at least good core and lower body strength. She can get up.
Escape diabetes and stop eating? No one can do either. Some people can reverse or put diabetes into remission. You can do things to help reduce risk of diabetes- but people get diabetes or they don’t. Genetics plays a role and healthy people with bad genes get diabetes too. You die if you stop eating unless you get your nutrition through TPN or other means which has long term health effects- but I’m sure she could change her diet if she wanted. She seems to not want to.
Put on a seatbelt? How does she ride in cars then? Come on. Even IF she were too large for a vehicles seatbelt to extend around- manufacturers make seatbelt extenders to accommodate larger folks. So she could still put on a seatbelt.
And lastly- Futures Club- well... it’s possible (if we take futures word,) no duke would ban Lizzo from the club. The fact he’s denying it and there is a law suit against the club as well as backlash from the public and media makes it very likely of Lizzo tried to get in they would let her as opposed to facing the fallout of what would surely be seen as evidence against Futures claims, coming from a very high profile personality.
Or, even see his toes"
