I do that almost everyday although I certainly don't know if that's depression
I have done it for years now, I never expect anyone to ask me what's going on because I don't think it's bad, but I might be wrong
Absence of emotions CAN! be a sign for a depression. A very low bandwidth of emotions might indicate that. Just not being unhappy doesn't automatically mean you're fine, it might just mean that you don't respect your needs sufficiently, cause you subconsciously think you're not worthy of being happy. Which is a mindset many, many morbidly depressed people have in common. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you're depressed, but you should be mindful towards yourself. Ask yourself from time to time if that is how you want to be and live, and if you have the slightest doubt, consider looking for help. Many depressions can be treated in ways that can change a life dramatically for the better and everybody deserves a good life.
Or we just call it tiredness after a long working day ???? Can the world stop calling everything a depression for like 2 seconds please ???? #stopbeingasensitivepussy
I think you guys are missing the point. OP isn't saying if you do this, then you're depressed. They're just saying that if you are depressed, it could manifest in this way. I think they're trying to highlight that not everyone who has depression cries in the dark, sometimes people experience depression in different ways. So maybe just be kind to everyone, because that coworker that laughs at your jokes all day just might be going through it. Just because they aren't crying doesn't mean they're in a good place necessarily.
Depression: Maybe I should kill myself right now
Also Depression: Why? Why couldn't you just get wasted on ice cream while running away from your responsibilities?
