My FWB brought out her old man's over under 10 gauge with magnum slugs. First time I fired it, I was nearly knocked on my ass. She is a freaking beast with it.
Key difference between us? I have 40 or 50 pounds on her, and am much stronger. She knew the proper technique and had more experience.
I caught on pretty quick, but still relevant to the post.
I'd bet mucho dinero the benefit is her bringing her daddy's gun over. I don't think anyone who has sex and lives outside a 20 yo sitcom uses that term.
There are plenty of benefits. Though, you may want to consider the possibility that people in a completely different part of the world than you could potentially have different words or phrases in common use.

In the english speaking internet FWB means friend with benefits and if you say that you insinuate fucking. And we wouldn't have this conversation if you actually did, so you did this to yourself. How super fucking pathetic.
Yeah, we fuck. That's the benefit I referred to, even cracked a joke over when Uncle feigned ignorance. We also shoot, hike, watch movies, and bitch to eachother. That's the friend part.

I just love it when I provoke people to lie. That first upvote is from me, no shit.
That just sounds like you're in a relationship but too afraid of commitment to admit it.
Me and my boyfriend of now 5 years started out that way as well.
Maybe. We dated in high school, but now I'm a career oriented man who lives on the other side of the country, and she's trying to save up money to go to school and study to work with kids.
It's complicated right now.
HEMA dabbler here. My training swords are 1.3 and 1.4kg. You do get used to the weight - and yes, I am a woman. Haven't done any fighting lately (or training, I have to admit) due to circumstances, but will pick it up soon again.
And HEMA = Historical European Martial Arts. In my case, Italian School after Achille Marozzo.
I have no understanding of the weight of swords, but why does this other dude think that a woman can’t wave one around—regardless of whether it’s 3 lbs or 15lb?

That is probably answered in the last sentence of that posting.

The guy from the podcast must have been Mr. Fantastic, because that was a fucking stretch.
I love people like this. I just admire the level of mental gymnastics here, how their brain could've even come to the conclusion that in a show with magic, witches, monstrous beasts and more, the most unrealistic thing is a woman holding a sword. It's fucking bonkers.
Which is especially foolish when you consider that studies show women (typically) have better muscular endurance.
And, a woman (or a man) who hasn’t put in the regular/consistent hours of training probably can’t waive a sword around for half hour. But someone (male or female) who has trained can certainly support that weight whether it’s 3 or 15.
Believe me, woman or not - even when I was training regularily... we used to do sparring. One on one, for three to four minutes. That was really intense and difficult. I don't believe any of us would have been able to do half an hour without breaks.
I think the longest continuous sparring I’ve ever done is maybe 15-20 minutes, so I can’t say for sure. But I’d bet a trained indivisible with the adrenaline of a life or death fight could for sure do it.
Oh no! I don’t have experience fighting in a life or death situation. I just imagine adrenaline would give you the extra fuel to go on passed your regular ability.
Wado karate. But I’m too casual to act like I know what I’m doing. I like the work out and the katas. And I think it’s fun to spar. So I have a few friends who will up and just spar, outside of actual training. Got a buddy that teaching jujitsu, so I may start that.
That's awesome, guys. I used to do Shotokan karate and I thought it'd teach me how to fight but Shotokan is all about the katas and techniques that look really cool and like in a movie, but the sparring happens rarely, and when it does it's all very controlled and samey. Now I do MMA and man, the two just can't compare. Here you learn how to survive a fight. Now of course it's still controlled in a way, you can't have people choking each other till they pass out during the training (as kinky as some people may find it lol). And let me tell you, when a 100kg muscular dude pins you to the ground (I'm a 65kg woman myself) and just the weight of his body knocks your breath out, the adrenaline and fight or flight instincts do kick in.
Key difference between us? I have 40 or 50 pounds on her, and am much stronger. She knew the proper technique and had more experience.
