It's a fairly common trope on social media it seems - anyone with dyed hair (particularly of the blue variety) is a raving sjw, and anyone who disagrees with anyone (particularly people with dyed hair) is a major predator with a minor in Naziism
Okay while this is utter bullshit, I have started to notice certain patterns and character traits that go with girls who have very colourful hair and I'd actually love to have a study done on this. Like, many bisexual and lesbian girls I know have dyed hair. Then almost all girls that I know that have crazy colors (blue, green, etc) suffer from some sort of mental health problem. Please keep in mind that I'm not generalizing it and I'm just speaking from personal experience. And that I have dyed hair myself lol.
See? I find that so so interesting. Maybe it has something to do with the desire to radically change your appearance, or to express yourself or to get people to notice you. Idk.
Tbh I don't actually believe the dye-your-hair = this type of person trope, but I have noticed that some of the most unpleasant people I've encountered (at least on the internet) often do have very brightly dyed hair - particularly girls dying their hair blue.
.
Not that that means all of them are unpleasant, or anything like that. I know everyone has said that about 4 times now but on topics like this it seems you have to repeat it often.
.
But yeah, the hair color is just a thing I've seen enough times that it caught my attention
.
Clearly blue (or other unusually coloured) hair dye doesn't cause any particular personality traits, but I wonder what and if there's an actual connection on a subliminal level to the color people choose for their hair
Alright I'm just gonna go ahead and ignore the last comment. @xvarnah exactly what I meant, ofc your hair colour doesn't change your character, but people who tend to dye their hair crazy colours might share similar character traits.
No we haven't failed as a culture
How you present yourself to the world is a huge deal
We're sending signals to each other all the time
If you have any knowledge of biology or psychology you'll know that is the case
Not sure what the last comment is that you're ignoring or where failure as a culture comes in. Unless there was a comment that got deleted and I missed it somehow
I see why it was deleted then.
.
People of all cultures have literally been dying their hair for thousands of years. They just used to use organic things like paprika and stuff - which wasn't particularly effective.
.
Iirc some of the original chemical hair dye has connections to trying to cure malaria of all things
But how is he a predator exactly?
