Guess who ditched her manipulative, toxic, suffocating and basic/non spiritual girlfriend and finally can enjoy his time alone like a f**king gentleman and choosing whatever he wants to watch, do and spend his time on. Cheers! For being single.

I’m supportive for leaving a toxic and manipulative person, but leaving someone cause they’re “basic/ nonspiritual”? You essentially left this person (at least 2/5 of your reasoning) cause of their religion and interest in popular things. If she wasn’t also an asshole I’d say she was better off without you as well
Sorry, I just reread the title and it’s a girl that posted this. But if the religion and “uniqueness” of someone’s personality is that big of a concern I’d assume you wouldn’t date them in the first place
It might not have been enough to make them not want to be with them, and just started causing problems after they got together. Hell, maybe the ex was the one that started being toxic about it. Not enough context to tell at this point

I've seen it happen enough times to know that some people will downplay their religion thinking they can bring it up after a relationship has strengthened so as not to scare off a potential partner so easily. Some people think religion is just a matter of time and patience for others. It's not.
All that having been said, my money is on this person using their ex's religion and interests as bonus weights off their chest in addition to the toxic parts that were the main reason to break up. Assuming they aren't the same thing.
