Looks like it's probably a species of atheris hispida/spiny bush viper, but I have a sneaky suspicion this has been photoshopped and/or enhanced

I wasn't saying it's not a real snake. I'm sure it is. But Bush vipers get their colors photoshopped often. Several of the most popular results you see when you Google them I've discovered are photoshopped. Usually it's color-enhancing, but sometimes it's color changing altogether.

@creativedragonbaby That's really cool! Sort of like one of those parasitic wasps. Imagine planting these beautiful flowers and a bunch of snakes are suddenly slithering around. What is your fantasy world, do you write stories?
How about instead of the snake shedding it's skin; it shed its scales which, burrow into the ground, grow into flowers or any type of plant, that eventually blossom or sprout out snakes?
