I just saw 1917, and what a rubbish movie. This would make a far more interesting story and incorporate the current zeitgeist.

If I recall correctly, her husband was part of the military navy and was beheaded on the king's order. The ships she captured first were the ones of all the people who took part in adding to the accusations her husband had faced, and the ships that belonged to the king, making sure he was what she xas about. She brought terror to a lot of officials in the navy.
