I took an hour the other day to walk around campus and it was pretty nice. I got to just be without homework for a little bit and I found a pretty neat rock
I've recently started a new internship 3,5km away from home so I walk to and from work... I'm loving it and if it could make me thinner that would be awesome!
On a side note, I read that the World Health Organisation recommends walking 7km a day (that would be "ideal" which is perfect for me!!) but 4km a day is already a good start. It can reduce the risk of colon cancer and heart diseases from 1/3. (that's so huge I had to double check).
Good advice. One word of warning: when you start walking, you are burning off energy (which is good) and you start to get hungry (which is natural). A lot of people then respond by eating more food (which is bad) thereby nullifying the exercise they were doing (which is frustrating).
