I can't speak for all women but whenever I do this it's really because I want to hear the options that my husband is thinking of and then out of those options figure out which one I want. See if he said where do you want to eat and I don't know where I want to eat but I I know the places I don't want to eat. So he can is a list of places that he wants to eat and out of those I can decide which one sounds the best.

Don't say "do you want to" say we're going to. If she still says no, leave her behind and do what you suggested on your own. If she dumps you, it wasn't meant to be.
