Replaced the alternator on my car today. The part had a warranty with the shop i bought it at, got a brand new one for basically free, and used some of the "savings" for a quart of oil. It was a relatively easy fix. Phones are for *me* kinda difficult to repair but fuck man, everything should be repairable. I'm glad I was able to look for the necessary part for my broken printer. Got that fixed and now I didn't have to pay 300+ upfront for to have a printer of similar functionality.
I’m with ya. I don’t want to pay so much for constant replacements and I don’t like throwing fixable things away. I have an iPhone and have replaced the screen and battery. Because I’m not buying a new one as long as this one is still good.
Vice reports that Customs and Border patrol seized the goods from a DHL facility.
The goods were supposedly from a “grey market” provider.

Not selling replacement parts is a weak approach when the display and battery are from Samsung, the LTE modem from Intel, your hard disc from Toshiba, your motion sensors from Bosch, the cameras from Sony...
