A girl in my class nearly flipped her shit telling me how could I come to school when I’d just gone to a convention. Like yea there’s a risk pal. but as far as I know there were no reported cases at the event, I feel fine, washed my hands a bunch, didn’t make out with every stranger, and we’re both healthy young adults. So, back off we’ll be fine as long as we don’t hand it over to the elderly or the young
People where I am are either at 100% panic or a solid 0. The group chat at school has been a cesspool of arguments over it. Yesterday, two kids were sent home for coughing (they had bronchitis), but another kid was allowed to stay even though someone on his football team had just tested positive for the virus. I have no idea what the rules are
Update that no one asked for: my school just shut down. It’s my senior year and we didn’t get our Last Day Of School. It’s a huge deal at my school... the teachers all edit themselves into a music video and sing a cover with the lyrics adapted to wish us luck for finals... we have a whole ceremony for that, not to mention senior pranks. I know it’s trivial in the grand scheme of things, but I was really looking forward to it and this sucks :/
Yeah it’s my first year at college and now school is cancelled and everything is moving to online. It seems like such a waste cause I spent so much to live here. But yeah it’s hella sad how we are all missing out on all the experiences
