I've looked into this, and the story only gets weirder. I just...don't understand this man. Not that I ever did, but I never expected him to have a steam library and Nintendo consoles

He, or someone in his compound, was partial to Naruto and Dragonball.

People are more than one thing. He wasn’t always a horrible terrorist. He was once a kid who liked the same stuff we did as kids.

@scatmandingo yeah but this is describing his life after becoming a terrorist. I get the point you're trying to make but it is a bit odd to imagine an extremist who murders people and plots the deaths of thousands watching hentai and paying off bells to Tom Nook

Why? He wasn’t a purely evil person who tortured babies for fun. I have a harder time believing that a man of his age was into video games and cartoons.

I'm confused by your phrasing, because my whole point is that it's hard to believe he played video games and was into cartoons

Sorry. I was saying it’s more surprising that he played video games and watched cartoons because he was in his mid-50’s than it was surprising because he was an extremist.

In all honesty, these days a lot of gamers aren't "ageing out." I don't keep up with Anime the way I used to but I'll watch South Park as long as they keep making it, and I'm in good company
