No more remakes for the rest of the decade. We have had our fill for a while

Keep it the basic concept, but don't make it a remake. Make it part of Marvel phase 4. Stark invents time travel, but somehow Parker is the one who gets accidentally sent back to 1990. Pre-IronMan Tony has to help him get back to the future. But in the process young May falls in love with Peter instead of Ben. Peter, from the future, still has his Spidey powers, but can't use them in public because a pre-Avengers world isn't ready for superheroes.

When asked if there might be a reboot, writer/producer Bob Gale said, “You know, you don’t sell your kids into prostitution.” So I think that means... no.
