@jd1984 deadlines for a cartoonist is Saturday seeing as Sunday is the day comics are in the newspaper and they send in the whole week on Saturday or at least that is what they did for the news paper in Texas.
(When I was in Girl Scouts we did a trip to the newspaper where they print the paper and I remember we asked a lot about the comics lol)

Still, coming up with the ideas and drawing them out within a week could be stressful. Not to mention he made at least 20 some books as well.
