Yeah, as long as the pollution isn't caused by the layman.. and by corporations..

I think it's it's even more amusing hearing people call an electric vehicle "zero emmissions" and sincerely not understand where the power actually comes from.
If it is coming from regenerative sources, it's close to emission free. So it is depending on the country you live in and the energy politics of said country.
The car does not have emissions so it is not amusing to hear that. Imagine looking at a car that doesn't even have an exhaust and saying it is not zero emission. The power source may still not be clean, but most of it is for electric vehicles. Most people have solar who charge at home. P.S. emissions only has 1 m
Because they don't generate nearly enough power. You'd stop to recharge in less then an hour. Solar panels are great but they're not as efficient as they would need to be to run a car.
I know that, you're not driving all the time, you do park it, go to work, park your car outside, in the sun, 8-10 hours, that should charge the battery, how much would it charge? don't go out on weekends, charge the battery. Wasn't thinking that it would be perpetually charged as you're driving it.
I meant the battery as well. It couldn't contain enough energy to keep it going more then an hour. A regular car battery holds its charge as long as it does due to the car charging it while driving. With a solar powered car though the battery that is used for those would have to be significantly larger and still would have poor performance. I don't mean this in a belitting manner but you should do some research. It'll surprise you at how limited solar panels are currently.
