You can’t change a habit in one day. You stumbled with a Big Mac... dust off your knees and try to make a better decision for the next meal.

Big Macs are part of eating healthy. So are Oreo cookies and Fried chicken. If you want to be healthy, you probably shouldn’t eat Big Macs every day, once a week might even be pushing it- but a “healthy” diet mainly involves getting enough of what you need and not too much. The problem with fast food and such is that it is SO nutrient dense, the portions tend to be SO big, and it has VERY high amounts of certain nutrients and not enough of others. Moderation. You can have some snacks or food that wasn’t grown on virgin soil by an artisanal curator who sang to every bean.

Just watch yourself. For some people, it’s harder to limit themselves to only “healthy” amounts of certain foods so they just go without entirely. Do what works for you, but one burger here or there won’t ruin your pledge for healthy eating- so long As you make sure that it really IS only once in awhile. But every meal is a chance to make a better choice, so don’t give up or feel defeated when you make one “worse” choice.
