It’s called planning your meals lol
Before I make our grocery list I always make a calendar of what we eat for each meal and each day than I write down what I need for those meals subtract what I already have and there is the list.
And I have been on monthly checks bi-weekly checks and weekly checks it all can be done with that method.
This post sums up the issue in itself.
If you go spending big, you’re just hurting yourself in the long run.
Even if it’s just a simple paycheck / 2, you have a budget! There you go!
Back in the days before ATMs and debit cards, a biweekly paycheck meant you filled your wallet with enough cash to last those two weeks. Funny how that never worked out.

Not sure if this is an exclusive American thing, but I worked quite a few different jobs from white over biue to no collar, and I would always get paid monthly. Following a sort of budget plan for your groceries isn't exactly quantum physics, it's very basic math skills and a bare minimum of self discipline.
