Ugh, I know. My pet peeve are those channels where someone presents their hobby really well but then they devolve into just another sponsored review channel about stuff that seems interesting but they won't tell you how much it costs, it's always free for them, and it always turns out to be to expensive for any sane person.
Yeah those really kill the mood, and I hate when they do it in the middle of the video... Have you absolutely no respect for your own video and people watching it?
But I do appreciate when brand deals are made in form of a funny skit. As long as it's genuinely funny (Tomska's Oreo for instance, or most of Danny Gonzalez and Drew Gooden's brand deals) and not a really bland and long commercial disguised as a youtube video.
There was a channel that used to watch and review an episode of Pokemon every week and would make funny commentary. Now it’s every month or two, and 2/3rds of the video is him shouting out his patreons. Needless to say. I stopped watching his channel.
