@nelson Some nudibranchs can retain the poisons of their prey and secrete them as a defense against predators.

They do indeed! Sort of like chowing on cobras so that anyone who licks you is poisoned.

Thank you so much, what a gorgeous little creature. I should really start diving. We have nudibranchs all over the place on the Swedish West Coast.

I'm farther east, but it's an easy drive. I have a friend who photographs nudibranchs. He hovers motionless in his wet suit for hours at a time just to capture their beauty.
